The Backstory. In My Shoes began as a personal project:

In 2007 I was mugged, I suffered a traumatic brain injury, I lost the ability to communicate as I had previously. In 2008 I started making work using interactive audio experiences as an alternative method of communication. These pieces were initially designed for friends, family and medical consultants.

In 2009 I started to use alternative platforms to share my experiences:

“I discovered video goggles …My plan was to share the world as I see it through my eyes. I had a pair of old school video goggles & a budget of £50. I had a Canon camera and a Dictaphone. My plan was to share the experience of an epileptic seizure that I had on the train. I titled it In My Shoes, waking in slough. Artshub

in 2010 I started to collaborate with other people to share their stories. they featured relationships, social boundaries, human rights & the kindness of strangers,
